A graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, and a lover of music nearly all his life, Mansell began his career in professional music back in 1987 when he joined the BBC Philharmonic. He has worked with them in both a full time and freelance capacity ever since, as well as performing with the Halle Orchestra, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Opera North and the CBSO. Mansell’s work as a violin player has taken him to many places in Europe, South & North America, Asia and Africa.

Though classically trained Mansell has a wide and varied repertoire and is available to play at weddings, funerals and private functions. He is based in Chester but is happy to travel where necessary.
